<p>The Legal Affairs Committee of the German Federal Parliament <a href="https://www.bundestag.de/presse/hib/kurzmeldungen-1024776">held a public hearing on sustainability reporting on October 16, 2024 (in German)</a>. Andreas Dörschell, President of the WPK, took part as an expert. In particular, he called for equal quality and competitive conditions (level playing field) to be ensured in the event of the approval of independent providers of assurance services for sustainability audits.</p>
<p>In view of the public hearing, the WPK submitted its statement to the Legal Committee in a letter dated October 10. It summarizes the most important demands regarding the CSRD Implementation Act.</p>
